New Years Resolutions…no I don’t do them, they are destined to fail before we notice a difference, instead, a ‘wishlist’ Bucket List seems more achievable.
Last year I wrote my first ever Bucket List, I did so to push myself to get out and do more fun things, some of them simple and no budget needed, it was a great way for me to see what my ´wishlist´was at the beginning of the year and compare it with things that I did. I never thought I would tick everything off on the list, and I didn´t, but I’m surprised over the things that I actually did tick off.
Let´s go through my 2018 list and then write one for 2019.
# 1. Rock climbing. I did this actually the first day of the year, January 1st, 2018 and soon I’m taking my first ever course so that I can belay others. Link
# 2. Visit Exuma Bahamas ’The pig beach’ I didn’t get to go to the Bahamas so I´ll save this for another time.
# 3. Get my PADI scuba ‘Open Water’ After my first trip to Dubi I ´detoured´ back to Europe via the Philippines and took my Open Water in Moalboal, Cebu. Link
# 4. Go on a surf trip and learn how to surf. I didn´t go on a surf trip but I did take some surfing lessons in LA, still need improvement so I’ll leave this one open for 2019.
# 5. Celebrate Christmas with my family. YES!! First time in five years I finally got to celebrate with my family back in Sweden.
# 6. Fly in a Hot Air Balloon. Yes, ticked this off in Dubai. Link
# 7. Visit Toronto. Went back here twice and hope to go back sometime in 2019. Link
# 8. Fly in one of the ´Vertical Wind Tunnels’ Nope, didn´t do this, definitely still on my list, this looks like too much fun!
# 9. Fly in a Glider Airplane. Nope, never got the chance to try this, hopefully in 2019.
# 10. Sand Dune Buggy. Sand Bashing in Dubai and Dune Buggy, Pismo Beach, CA. This was the best! So much fun! Link
# 11. Go back to Yosemite Went back here for three days in October 2018, still, I could go back here a million times and be just as amazed every time. Link
# 12. Visit at least one new national park, sleep in a tent and cook over an open fire. I did go back to Yosemite and Joshua Tree but not a new one and I didn’t sleep in a tent or cook over an open fire.
# 13. Get better to keep you all updated on my YouTube, no, this did not happen, oops, hopefully in 2019. Youtube channel
# 14. See wild leopards. I went on a Safari and I saw lions and a cheetah but not a leopard, leopards being my forever calling animal I feel that I will leave this one open, even if I saw beautiful cat animals, still, I need to see a leopard.
# 15. Visit Australia. I´ll have to save this one too, hopefully in 2019 🤞
Out of 15 I actually did 7 which is not bad at all and saving some that I can look forward to in 2019, onto my 2019 Bucket List, it feels like I´m writing Santas a wishlist…..
2019 Bucket List
# 1. Visit Australia (moved this one over form 2018 list)
#2. Learn to love Burpees, I hate them so much! Every time I go to a class in the gym and they have Burpees in the choreography I’m like ´oh hell no´ and almost leave the room. But I know that they are good for you, so from now on, instead of almost taking my full water bottle and leave, I´ll embrace it!
# 3. Camp and cook over an open fire. Moving this one over from my 2018 Bucket List.
# 4. Fly in a vertical wind tunnel, I will keep this on my Bucket List until I finally get to do it!
# 5. Do an overnight hike. I love to be out in nature, always has, but it was a very, very long time ago that I actually did an overnight hike.
# 6. Skydive again. I did this a while ago and it scared the holy crap out of me (pardon my language) I´d love to do it again just to take the fear away.
# 7. Be more social. I´ve worked a lot last couple of years and locked myself in with my computer, I feel that I want to make 2019 the year of being social, I am also terrible at socializing but will do my best.
# 8. Meditate on a more regular basis, daily basis.
# 9. Do 50 sits up every morning, hello abs 2019 😜😂 How´s with me, let’s make it a challenge.
# 10. Solve my 5 x 5 Rubiks Cube, thanks mom, dad and my sister for best xmas gift ever!
# 11. Sleep in a Glass Bubble, like the one they have in Iceland ´the five million star hotel´
# 12. Go on a ski trip (I´m really bad at skiing).
That’s about what I can come up with right now, there are so many things that I want to do, but I also have to be just a tiny little bit realistic.
What’s on your wish list this year, do you have a Bucket List? Comment here or on @pilotmaria I love hearing from you, plus I might get some extra inspiration on things I did not even think about.
Gotta go now, 50 Sit Ups and then meditate….then breakfast, studying for my simulator check, work on my presets (which are available here: sellfy.com/pilotmaria ) then gym rock climbing then home then…….the list goes on and on an on
Take Care!
xx Maria
I have yet to start my 2019 bucket list… But I plan on doing a Spartan race Trifecta (already paid for them, can’t go back now), which consists of 3 races that get harder with each one. So my goal for this year would be to place in one of the Spartan races.

That’s amazing!! Well done wishing you all of best luck 🙌🙌
Is there a school you operate as side business or you promote so I can take a group of my friends certified to skydive on their own account as a hobbie?
